I'm enjoying seeing kilograms of food waste turned into a small quantity of dried compost. I haven't yet used it and now have a packet of 2.7kg of output compost. I'm a bit hesitant to sprinkle it in my flower beds in case of pests or the seeds sprouting. Should I get over this and just do it or should I mix it with some sand or topsoil in a seperate container first? We don't have worms and although tempted I dont have capacity to take on anything new that requires learning or effort right now.
